Why use Lumion? Says Lumion User.
I am an architectural graphic engineer. The first time I tried 3DS Max I realized that time proportioning modeling was very inefficient. I did not need a design with a curved surface like an irregular shape because I could not have a good architectural design. So I used Sketch-up, which is easier than 3DS MAX, as a modeling tool. Rendering yielded a rendering result with Vray for Sketch-up. However, V-Ray for Sketch-up was more unstable than Vray for 3DS Max. Implementing the optimization showed a much faster rendering time than Vray for 3DS Max, but the problem was that there was not enough plug-ins for rendering to add object diversity. Although there were plugins that supported sketch-up rendering, we could not keep up with the quality of 3DS Max's plugin, the forest pack or terrain.
